Witchcraft And More Anime

Sorry I missed yesterday... that's probably going to keep happening, but... oh well...

Today I started Meats and Sauces; we fabricated chickens and I found out that I'm surprisingly good at it - I was the second one to finish and the first guy who did it had been doing it for years whereas this was my first time.  I was pleasantly surprised.  We also made stock... other than that class was pretty boring though... It makes sense because it's the first day and most of class was lectures... so... yeah...

I'm supposed to talk about my practice today... I am merely dabbling so far; I've tried a few spells here and there, but mostly I just do meditations and tarot readings and the like... I am excited for Halloween this year because it will be my first time celebrating Samhain - the pagan new year basically. I'll tell you about what I'm doing for that when I actually do it. Unfortunately I don't really have anything else to say right now... Maybe I'll talk about some stuff that I've done for previous holidays later.

I watched some more anime yesterday - I didn't really watch any news stuff today because my little sister wanted to watch Parasyte with me (I had to cover her eyes a bunch because it has a few inappropriate scenes... but she insists on watching it with me...)

Anyway, yesterday I watched Trinity Seven, which I don't plan on continuing.  Too ecchi.  And why is it a common theme in ecchi anime that there are scenes with girls who need to use the restroom? Do guys really think that's attractive...?  Really, it's just creepy to me...

I started to watch Fate/Stay Night, but when I realized that it is related to Fate/Zero I stopped due to the fact that I have yet to watch the later so it probably wouldn't have made much sence to me (although apparently the game Fate/Stay Night came out before the books Fate/Zero despite that Fate/Zero is the prequel... anyway...).

After that I watched Akasyki no Yona which is super shoujo and stuff, but I'm going to keep watching it.  It's interesting so far so I'll see where it goes...

Next was Denki-Gai which I discontinued for the same reasons that I stopped watching Trinity Seven; I am not into ecchi...

Then there was Orenchu no Furo Jijo which I suspected that I would like form the beginning - since it might as well be a yaoi.  It's about a boy who saves a merman and now the merman is living in his bathtub...  It got really awkward when I went to watch the third episode today and they kind of toed the yaoi boundary - my younger brother was in the room...  Anyway, it's cute so far so I plan on continuing.

Last was When Supernatural Battles Became Commonplace.  It's totally a harem anime, but I don't really mind at least it's not like Trinity Seven... It's not really ecchi and the male protagonist is kind of a sweet guy despite how eccentric he can be.  So, I'll probably continue it for now...

Not much else to say... I still have 10 anime to watch before I've gone through all the anime for this season... I'll hopefully watch some more tomorrow...

Tomorrow my topic will be... Metaphysical: Tarot.  So... I'll talk about tarot... maybe I'll do an interesting reading... I have been trying to get in touch with my spirit guides more... We'll see...

Until tomorrow my lovelies!
Blessed be!

Sigh... So I Have To Talk About Myself Now...

As promised... Myself...  Is it okay if I cheat?  You say it is?  Why, thank you!

I'm just going to give a vague rambling of a few things about myself and then I'm going to move on to things I actually am interested in talking about...

So... A few things that you guys probably don't even care to know about Cali:
Favorite color: Purple - if you can't tell by my blog theme...
Favorite... voice actor (might as well since I'm an Otaku...): Daisuke Ono - Japanese and Crispin Freemen - English
Favorite anime: Currently Free! - I just recently realized that it's replaced Tiger & Bunny...
OTP: Haru/Makoto - from Free! also just realized that they bumped out Barnaby and Kotetsu...
Favorite... book...: I... have no idea... I really like Dan Brown's stuff... I love light novels, I'm currently reading The Surprise of Haruhi Suzumiya part 1 which is the second to last book in the series and then after that I plan on starting No. 6 again... and then - if I can FIND it somewhere - I plan on reading the Durarara light novels because I NEED to know what happens.
Favorite... artist: DaVinci...
Favorite musical artist: ROOKiEZ is PUNK'D - Japanese and Vertical Horizon - English although Mariana's Trench is quickly gaining some headway... also I really like UVERworld, Neon Trees, Kalafina, the Vocaloids, Imagine Dragons, Cartel, and... Relient K... yeah I think that's enough...
Favorite mangaka: Hinako Takanaga - yaoi mangaka of course...
Favorite american TV shows: Supernatural, Cupcake Wars, Law and Order: SVU... I think that's basically all I watch... usually if I have the TV on it's on Food Network...
Favorite thing that I've ever baked: I made this really cool layered pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving last year; I was really proud of it - last year was also the first time that I was asked to provide the desert for the big family dinner that we have every year so I was honored (although it makes sense that I was asked... I mean I am going to school for that kind of stuff...)
Favorite food: Sushi - like a typical otaku... and also like a typical otaku I really LOVE takoyaki - octopus (I apologize to you my precious spirit animal, it's just... so... delicisious...) dumplings.
Favorite animal: Sheep! (also my number one spirit animal!)

Alright... I think that's enough for now...

So I said I was going to quickly talk about what my families been doing for our movie nights again.  On Wednesday we watched Casper and I made meringues shaped like ghosts and then a Shepard's pie with mash potato ghost on top.  We haven't done anything else since then due to the fact that Thursday afternoon my mom, Sean, and Skye left for Disney Land for the weekend and won't be back until late tomorrow night.  Meaning we probably won't be watching anymore movies until Monday, but I'll be sure to let you know about those.

Today I decided to start a few new anime series.  Crunchyroll recently started the fall season line up and so I decided to be adventurous and give every new series a try - they're all only 2-4 episodes in so far so it's not that big a deal.  I've only gotten through four of them so far (because I decided that I had to catch up on RWBY first and i was pretty behind on that...).

I watched I Can't Understand What My Husband Is Saying first and... yeah I don't plan on continuing that one... it was just too weird and I didn't like a lot of the perverted jokes/references they made... not my thing...

I then watched Parasyte -the maxim- which I didn't think I was going to like, but it actually seems really interesting.  It's really weird and kind of creepy and gross sometimes, but it's really intriguing so as of now I think I'm going to keep watching it.

Next up was Bonjour(insert music-note-that-I-can't-seem-to-insert-properly here)Sweet Love Patisserie.  Just a series of five minute episodes about a girl attending a super expensive, high-class confectionery school on scholarship. It promises to be one of those cheesy, sappy reverse harem anime, but since the episodes are so short and it has a baking theme I plan on continuing it. It looks kind of cute too...

Last I watched Your Lie in April.  A music anime, which I tend to enjoy.  It's about a piano prodigy who became unable to play after his mother passed away, but than when he meets an eccentric violinist she helps inspire him again.  Pretty cute so I'll probably keep it up.  And just yesterday I was going on about how I don't really like heterosexual romance series usually... oh well...

Like I said, that's all I got to today so... yeah; I plan on watching more tomorrow though so I'll let you know what I decide to keep watching and what I drop.  As for what else I'll talk about tomorrow, I drew "Metaphysical: My Practice" for my topic, so I'll be talking about Paganism and witchcraft tomorrow... Should be a fun time!

Until then
Blessed be!

Chocolate Techniques and Toradora

Hey! Sorry I missed the last two days; I was being lazy...  Anyway, today I started my Chocolate Techniques class.  The chef for that class is so funny; I think I'm going to have a really good time.  She's really enthusiastic and cute (as in behavior wise - I'm not attracted to her...) and I'm really looking forward to the next eight weeks.  We made brownies - sounds super difficult, right?  We have six teams in class and each team was told to make the same exact brownie recipe, but we all had a different coco powder.  It was really interested to see that just changing that tiny little thing many a pretty big difference in, not only taste, but the color and textures of the brownies too.  We also made a bunch of different ganache, but that wasn't very exciting.

Alright, so last time I drew from my list of topics and ended up drawing anime, so since I didn't post the day after like I was supposed to I figured I'd just talk about that today.  Today's anime is Toradora - since I just finished it last night...
I've been meaning to watch this anime for years now and so finally about a week ago I started it, watched eight episode and then watched the rest (17) yesterday.  I thought it was really cute; I'm not usually the biggest fan of heterosexual romance anime (or anything really... only because if I'm going to watch somethings that's strictly romance I'd rather it be a pairing that appeals to me ((although that doesn't really explain why I'm so into Yaoi...))), but it had the two components that I typically need in order to enjoy this genera; comedy - has to be super funny and this succeeded - and characters that are easy to slash (put in Yaoi/Yuri pairings with each other) so that I can secretly ship them instead of the "canon" pairing in the series.  And seeing as this series had several potential Yuri pairings and a pretty easy-to-ship Yaoi pairing too, it worked out pretty well.  Although I'll admit that I kind of liked the relationship between Ryuji and Taiga... even though I do slightly prefer the idea of Minori with Taiga instead... I liked all of the characters in this series... If I had to pick a least it would probably be Ami... but I didn't hate he either... My favorite character was Ryuji, cause apparently I'm a sucker for main characters... also I loved his whole looks-really-tough-and-intimidating-but-is-really-a-nice-sweet-guy thing.  I think Taiga and Minori were tied for second favorite; I really liked both of them.  Kitamora... I had a little trouble with him, only because I watched it in English (yeah, sue me; I have a reading disability and it just makes things easier - also I believe that dubbing has gotten a lot better in the last couple of years and actually enjoy it so :p. Yeah, I love subbed stuff as much as the next otaku, but I hate how cranky people get when it comes to dubbed stuff...) and he's voice by Johnny Yong Bosch, which I guess I just didn't think fit him very well so I couldn't take him seriously - not that I necessarily think that he's a character your supposed to take seriously...  Yeah... I think that's enough about that...

I'll go over the stuff my families been doing tomorrow only because this is getting long and I have other stuff I have to do...

My topic for tomorrow is "myself..." oh... yay....  We'll see what I come up with to talk about for that...

See you tomorrow.

Let's Talk About Rocks

I finally drew from that list that I made!  Yay!  I drew "Metaphysical: Gems," so I'm going to talk about gems...

I carry six gems with me on a regular basis; they are:
In my right pocket - black tourmaline, citrine, and carnelian
In my left pocket - rose quartz, rhodonite, and blue kyanite

Black tourmaline is basically the master of all protectors, but I use it more for it's grounding abilities.  I carry citrine for energy - which goddess knows I need.  Carnelian is great for confidence - something else that I desperately need... Rose quartz is good for self-love, something that I need more of.  Rhodonite helps to understand yourself better and can help keep depression at bay.  Blue kyanite is usually associated with the throat chakra - communication, but it is also good for attracting romantic love - which is why I carry it...

I don't really want to go into anything further yet - it'll give me more to talk about if/when I draw this topic again.  Next time I'll probably pick one of the gems I carry and talk about my experiences with them - and other gems I've carried, but don't keep with me regularly.

Oh, I've also been meaning to talk about the fun stuff my family has been doing for the last couple of day.  We're doing this thing where each night of October we watch a Halloween-esque movie - or a couple - and make dinner/some treats that are themed to the movie.

The first night we did it, we watched The Nightmare Before Christmas and made "Wormswart" soup in "brain" bowls - which was split-pea soup in bread bowls, "Bone-Daddy" bread sticks - bread sticks shaped like bones, "Pumpkin King" parfaits - pumpkin mousse layered with whipped cream and pecan granola, and two drinks, for the adults "Deadly Nightshades" - vodka, blueberry/cranberry juice, and ginger ale, and for the kids "Oggy Boggies" - apple/white cranberry juice, sprite, and some gummy worms.

The second day we had a whole day worth we had a Mummy movie marathon - and then we watched Bedazzled at the end.  For lunch that day we had Mummies - pigs in a blanket, but you cut the dough into thinner strips so it looks like wrappings, pita chips and hummus, and olives - Egyptian themed.  Then for dinner we had Chinese food - because the third movie is set in China.  Our drink was a "Malabou sunset" inspired by the "sensitive guy" scene in Bedazzled.

Third night was The Addams Family.  I made homemade Girl Scout cookies - Samoa's - and we had lemon-aid - inspired by the  lemon-aid stand scene. For dinner we had spinach and mushroom crepes - inspired by the fact that Mortisha and Gomez speak French to each other.

Last night we watched a couple Halloween Pixar shorts and made "Ogre" floats - sprite and lime sherbert - or "Mud" floats - rootbeer floats.  Most of the shorts were Shrek related hence the drinks.

Today we watched The Haunted Mansion and I made "fritters" - fried choux pastry rolled in cinnamon-suger, jumbalia, corn bread muffins, and mint julips.

I'll keep you posted on the fun things we do each day for that too.  I think we plan on watching Casper tomorrow.  I'm also going to draw my topic for tomorrow now or else I run the chance of forgetting to do it tomorrow so, my theme for tomorrow is... Anime, that'll be SUPER hard - notice my sarcasm (the hard part will be picking the anime).

Talk to you tomorrow.
Have fun everyone!

CCC Final and Demons

So, I still haven't drawn from that list - and I haven't posted for the last couple of days... but, oh well; I'm not going to beat myself up over it.  I should hopefully be drawing from the list tomorrow because I don't have anything interesting planned - but I'm not making any promises.

I had my Cookies, Candies, and Confections final today.  We made mignardises - a plate that consists of a collection of cookies and candies served at the end of a meal free of charge (served at super expensive restaurants where you most likely spent $200 or more per person... yikes!).  I made raspberry macaroons with a chocolate mousse filling, raspberry pate de fruit, creme caramels, coconut marshmallows, and cinnamon-hazelnut truffles.

I had a lot of trouble in class today... First when I piped the marshmallows I forgot to spray the pan... fortunately my teacher caught me in time and I was able to re-pipe them - although they had started to set so they came out kind of lumpy the second time, but we covered them in coconut and they looked pretty nice.  Then I had to barrow tempered chocolate from another team because mine was behind and we weren't able to get to it...  Our team was also supposed to make marzipan candy and coconut sushi, but we were so behind that we didn't get to it either... yeah... I was pretty stressed...

Anyway... enough about class...  I finally, officially caught up with Supernatural meaning I'll be watching the new episode tomorrow with all the other fans who have dedicated years of their lives to the series... where as I have only been watching for a few mere months... My favorite character is Charlie (d- definitely not because I may have a teensy-weensy crush on her... no... n- not at all...); if I had to pick from the more regular characters though, it would be Dean (WHY DEAN?! WHY?!) because he has adorable moments (the episodes where he gets "ghost sickness" and when he "mind-melds" with that dog are some of my favorites), yet is a "tough-guy" character, which just makes his adorable moments even more adorable.

Well, not much else today, super tired from class... Going to be early.  I should be on tomorrow.

See you then.
Happy October!

There Was No Supernatural Today... :(

So, don't you love it when you plan on having a marathon of a show all day and then the dentist appointment you had that morning ends up taking 7 1/2 hours and all your plans are dashed?  Oh, me too!

So, yeah... today I got to spend seven and a half hours at the dentist.  Fun stuff... I had to get a root canal... super fun, but my dentist was super nice - I've never had that kind of work done in my mouth before and I was really nervous.

Anyway... so I'll be talking about Supernatural tomorrow and not drawing from that list... again... But Thursday I hopefully... might... draw from that list... or I may talk about Supernatural more because I'll be watching the first episode of the tenth season then...

Well, I'm done; I'm super tired from my dentist appointment ordeal so... yeah...

Night, night everyone.

Plated Dessert Project

Today we finished our plated dessert projects in Cookies, Candies, and Confections.  I made a chocolate financier with vanilla Chantilly, a coconut tuille, and a raspberry caramel sauce.  Which is a fancy/complicated way of saying I made a chocolate, cake-like cookies with whipped cream, a crunchy, coconut cookie, and raspberry caramel.  I had a lot of trouble with this project today; apparently - and I wasn't told this until the end of the day - the tuille I made was a really fragile one.  I originally was trying to shape it into a bowl so I could put my financier inside it, but after four different batches and five plan changes I ended up cutting out little crescents instead.  I think my dessert came out really well though - despite all my difficulties.

Yeah, it looks like I won't be drawing from the list I made tomorrow either...  Season 9 of Supernatural is finally being put up on Netflix and I will be marathon-ing it; so, I'll probably post about that tomorrow...

I promise I'll draw from my list on Wednesday
You can hold me to that.
(Whoever you are)

Apologies And Religion Talk

Sorry I didn't post yesterday - I took a lazy day, meaning that, unlike most days where I do everything else I plan to do and just forget/get too tired to blog, yesterday I just lazed around the house and did nothing... I am not ashamed!  Okay, maybe I am a little...  Anyway this means that I missed my weekly recap, but there weren't going to be any pictures or anything yet so it wasn't going to be very exciting anyway.

So, today I am going to talk about my practice.  I know that I said I was going to draw/use a random number generator to pick what I talk about each day, but I forgot to draw this morning and so I just decided that this was a good topic for today (I have to do my drawings in the morning because one of them is baking and if I draw that - on a day that isn't Monday or Friday - I have to plan to bake something sometime during the day).

My practice: I am a wannabe witch.  I don't consider myself to be one yet (I believe that you have to officially declare yourself as one in a private - or social - ritual), but I've been studying magic.  I am a pagan - not a Wiccan. I believe in multiple gods and goddesses as opposed to one goddess that takes on many different forms.  My patron goddess is Ma'at, the ancient Egyptian goddess of truth, and balance and my patron god is Thoth, the ancient Egyptian god of wisdom - also scribe of the gods.  I don't just worship the Egyptian pantheon though, one example in particular is that I worship Gia as the goddess of the Earth (as opposed the Egyptian god Geb - mostly due to the fact that I believe the Earth is feminine and Geb being a god...).  I do mostly stick to the Egyptian deities though...

Alright, well... I think that's everything.  I may not draw tomorrow either and talk about what I do in class, but we'll see about that then...

Until next time
(I hope being a wannabe witch doesn't scare anyone away...)

Announcement

So I know that I talked about drawing from that list I made for what to talk about, but I'm not going to start that quite yet.  Instead I'm going to advertise for the LARP that my friend and I are trying to start up.  I'm going to be making a separate blog for it - linked to this account - and and email and all that good stuff so when I have that stuff up I'll post the links and things here.

So today my friend and I went to the park that we were thinking of using for the LARP and scouted out where it would be and how it would be set up.  I'm getting really excited.  We talked about world building and character stuff and everything.  We have a couple pending/hopeful members too, so it really looks like this is going to happen!

I'll probably be talking about that sometimes too, just a warning...

That's all I have to say about that.

Ideas For Going Forward

Alright, so I mentioned how I wanted to maybe start a weekly schedule of what I should talk about again and I have decided what I want to do.  I'm not going to do it the way that I usually do though.  I am going to try to make Saturdays the day that I have like a weekly wrap up/re-cap thing, where I talk about the week and post picture (I'll just be talking about the week until my computer is back up and I can post pictures again...).  For every other day I am going to have a list of things I could talk about each day and draw from (or use a random number generator) them and talk about that.

The list of things I'm considering are:
Anime
Fan Fiction
Original Works
Myself
Metaphysical: Tarot
Metaphysical: Gems
Metaphysical: Spirit animals/guides
Metaphysical: My practice
TV/Movies that aren't anime
Books
Crafts
Goals

I may pair this down or I may add more things, but we'll see. Anyway, I think that's it for today.

I'll see you tomorrow.

Tarot and Cleaning

First day I haven't had school on Wednesday since the beginning of the semester so instead of going to school I got to spending the day cleaning the kitchen! Yay! Yeah...  It's okay though... it needed to be done (now if only I can keep it clean this time...). Unfortunately I didn't really do anything else of interest today (not that cleaning the kitchen is actually interesting...). Oh well.

So, I'm sure you all know that I read tarot and usually I use my The Goddess Tarot to do my readings, but recently I've been trying to get more in-tune with my Osho Zen Tarot.  I bought that deck right a round the same time I bought my Goddess Tarot, but I haven't really used it since I bought it... The reason being is that it's a lot different from the decks that I'm more used to and because I bought it on ebay it didn't come with the instruction booklet that most decks usually have. So, for along time it sat on my bookshelf collecting dust because I was too afraid to use it.  Fortunately I have definitely grown as a reader and thanks to some encouraging from a friend I finally brought the deck out and started using it.  I'm really happy with the results; my friend says that she feels my readings have gotten a lot more in depth since I started using it.  I feel like it's helping me improve even further in tarot some I'm super glad that she finally convince me to start using it (it took a while, she really had to wear me down).

Well, I don't think I have anything else to talk about right now, so... Yeah... I should maybe think about making a more structured schedule for what I post about each day again so that I don't have any days where I'm just rambling about nothing... But... I never really follow those... I'll come up with something.

Well, there you go.
(Sorry I missed yesterday)

Now Let's Really Talk About Some Swimming Boys

So, as I've been promising; I'm finally going to talk about Free! today. Fortunately my heart has had a little time to recover from what it did to me ( I finally understand why everyone of archiveallourown.com calls it Eternal Cryfest). I don't want to spoil anything for anyone (not that there's anyone to spoil it for, but...) so, instead of talking about the ending I am going to talk about my favorite character and why he should be yours too:

Makoto Tachibana.  He just makes my heart melt (in the if-I-were-straight-and-he-was-real-and-not-totally-in-love-with-Haru-I-would-maybe-consider-dating-him-but-really-I-just-want-him-to-be-my-gay-best-friend kind of way). He's just so swear and adorable! I want to hug him 102% of the time. I mean who wouldn't want him to be their friend? I love him so much (as much as a fan girl can love a fictional character - which is a lot by the way)! In fact... I think he may have surpassed my previous favorite anime character of all time... (it's been the same since high school... 6 years ago...) yeah... I think that Makoto has officially replaced Kyon from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiay as number one... Wow... Way to go Makoto.

Now as a Makoto fan (and from the fan fiction that I posted yesterday...) I'm sure you can guess what pairing I root for in the love triangle that is Makoto, Haru, and Rin (and yeah that's totally cannon). I'm sorry Rin, but Makoto deserves Haru WAY more than you do.  Makoto has been with Haru through everything no matter what. Sigh... I'll stop now or else I'm just going to start ranting... Yeah... MakoHaru is totally my new OTP, it beat out Barnaby/Kotetsu from Tiger & Bunny. I also find it interesting that MakoHaru is one of the only (actually I'm pretty sure it's THE only) pairings that I ship either way; usually I have a distinct uke and seme in my pairings, but MakoHaru is the first one that I'll reverse (although I do have a strong preference for Makoto as the uke - which there is not enough of!)

Anyway... I know there's a lot more to talk about, but... I think I'm going to leave it there for today...

I'll talk to yo all about... something tomorrow...
(I've been using "..." a lot today...)

Babysitting And Swimming Boys

So, I babysat for my cousins for my aunt today; they slept a big chunk of the time and their pretty easy-going as it is so it was pretty easy.  At one point (right before nap time) Bradly (the older one - almost 3) kept telling me that he needed to go to the bathroom, but once I got him in there and on the toilet he said he didn't have to.  He did this four or five times; I figured out after awhile that he was just doing it to get out of taking a nap, but they just started potty training him so I didn't want it to turn out that one of the times he was telling the truth and then him have an accident.

Anyway, I keep saying that I want to talk about Free! and then putting it off so... I think I'll post some fan fiction for it today because I still don't really have time to talk about it right now... Sorry.

Title: Fairy Tale
Pairing: Makoto/Haru
Once upon a time there was a boy who was in love with the ocean. He lived on a small island where he could be near the water very often and he would play along the shore whenever he could.
Because of his supposed obsession with the ocean he didn’t have many friends; all of them complaining that all the boy ever wanted to do was swim.
He didn’t care though, trying to convince himself that the only friends he needed were the waves.
Then one day a storm came to the small island.
Everyone was advised to stay away from the water that night, but Haru didn’t heed the warnings.
Despite the wind and the rain and the choppiness of the waves he waded out into the water and swam, but as the storm grew more and more fierce he soon could no longer control his movements and was tossed around before he was thrown under the water and his head hit the rocky bottom, knocking him out.
Sometime later Haru awoke in what looked like a seaside cave; he wasn’t sure where he was or how he had gotten there, but he was at least glad for the moment that he was safe.
He spent a few moments looking around the cave, wondering how he could get out and back home when suddenly he noticed a shadow moving under the water.
He stared at the shape for a moment, wondering if maybe it was a shark, when suddenly a head popped out of the water.
Haru blinked at the boy who was now staring up at him; he had brown hair and kind green eyes and he smiled when Haru looked at him.
“I’m glad you’re awake.” The boy said as he swam closer to the edge of the water.
“Did you save me?” Haru asked.
The boy in the water smiled wider and nodded before a slightly more serious look came over his features, “You shouldn’t have been swimming during that storm; if I wasn’t there you could have died.”
Haru gave a “humph” and looked away, “We’ll you were swimming, weren’t you?”
The other boy gave a shy smile and laughed softly, “I guess, but I didn’t have much of a choice.”
Haru blinked and looked back at the other boy at the strange response.
He didn’t question him about it though and instead asked, “What’s your name?”
“Makoto.” The other boy responded with another smile, “What’s yours?”
“Haru.” He answered before moving onto his next question, “Where do you live? I’ve never seen you around the island before.”
Another small laugh, “That’s because I don’t live on the island.”
Haru blinked again, “Then where do you live?”
Makoto just gave a friendly smile before moving closer to the ledge that Haru was on and pulling himself up.
Haru had been wondering why the other was staying in the water for so long, but as he pulled himself up onto the rocks next to Haru it became clear.
Haru stared at the long, fish-like tail that was where the boy’s legs should have been.
“You’re a merman.” Haru finally said after a while as he dragged his eyes away from the tail and back up to the other’s face.
     Makoto just smiled and nodded.
After that the two talked for a long while, asking the other’s about their lives and what it was like to live where they did.
After a while though, Haru realized that it was getting rather late and that he should return home, sure his parents didn’t tend to pay much attention to him, but he was sure that even they would begin to worry if he was gone too much longer.
“I need to go home.” Haru said suddenly.
Makoto nodded, “Of course.” He replied, “We’re actually not that far from the shore.” He said as he pushed off of the edge and dropped back into the water, “I’ll show you.”
Haru nodded and slid into the water as well, following the other male as best as he could until they reached the shore.
As they got close Makoto had to stop, not wanting to get to close to the island.
     Haru looked back at him.
“Can I see you again?” He asked.
Makoto smiled again, “Yes, I would like that.”
They made plans to hang out again the next day before saying their goodbyes.
Haru then made his way up the sandy shore and to his home.
He was surprised that when he got there his parents hadn’t even seemed to realize that he was gone; he brushed it off and went to bed.
Over the next couple of weeks the two boys spent a lot of time with each other. They would swim together and play and sometimes Makoto would lead Haru back to the cave where they had first met and they would just talk.
After a while Haru wanted to spend less and less time on the land where he was ignored or whispered about behind his back and more and more time in the water with Makoto who seemed to understand him so well even though they had known each other for only a short time.
One day as they were nearing the time that the two of them usually split up for the day Haru voiced these thoughts.
Makoto smiled in return as he blushed softly, “I’m so glad you think that.” He replied, “I- I’ve been thinking the same thing.”
Haru blinked; it was obvious that the other meant more than he was saying.
“I- I think I’m in love with you Haru.” Makoto informed.
Haru gave another blink, but a small smile tugged at his lips, “You are?”
Makoto nodded as he scooted closer to the other boy, “There are legends among my people of merfolk falling in love with humans and when they share their first kiss the merfolk would grow legs instead of a tail so they could live on land with the person they loved.”
Makoto blushed as he explained, but Haru was silent as he listened to the other.
“It’s said that the two must be soul mates in order for the magic to work and I’ve never heard of it working for two boys, but I feel strongly for you Haru and… and if any love was going to be strong enough to turn me human so that we can be together it would be ours.” Makoto continued.
“I know that your life on the land isn’t very happy and you don’t have many friends, but if I turn human then I can always be with you.” Makoto assured.
Haru smiled and nodded, “I’d like that.”
Makoto smiled and scooted even closer, “Then…” He paused and blushed, “May I kiss you?”
Haru nodded and the two leaned forward, pressing their lips together in a tentative first kiss.
Haru felt a strange tingling all over his body as they kissed, but ignored it as he enjoyed the feeling of the others lips.
They pulled away after a few moments and Haru looked down at Makoto’s le- no, he still had a tail; he frowned, had the magic not worked?
But Makoto gasped and pointed to Haru’s own legs, but when Haru looked down at what had surprised the other he was shocked to see that his legs were no longer there and in their place was a shiny, blue tail.
     “Wh- What?” Haru questioned.
“I- I guess the magic didn’t work right.” Makoto replied, “I- I’m so sorry Haru; I didn’t mean to.”
Haru stared at the tail before slowly lifting a hand and brushing the new, scaled skin.
After a moment he looked back up at Makoto with a smile on his lips, “No, this is wonderful. Now I can live in the water with you.”
Makoto stared at the other a moment, “Y- You won’t miss the land?”
Haru shook his head, “No one will even notice I’m gone.”
Makoto gave a sad smile at that, but moved closer so that he could hug the other, “I love you Haru; I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”
Haru blushed as he pulled away from the other, “I want that too.”
Makoto smiled brightly before slipping into the water, “Come on, I want to introduce you to my family.”
Haru laughed softly before following the other boy.
It took him a few moments to get used to his new appendage, but soon he was swimming right along the other.
So, together the two swam off into the ocean. And they lived happily ever after.
END

Well, there you go. Hopefully tomorrow will be the day.

Bye bye
(I swear I'll talk about Free! soon)

Reorganizing My Life

So today I finally clean/reorganized my room today (I've kind of been putting it off for months). Now my room looks really nice. I also got my alter back up and running again, when my computer is back up I'll post some pictures of that.

I also did some work on the rest of the house - with some help form Sean and Skye. We've really been needing to take care of things so hopefully we can try and keep it looking nice once we get the majority of it taken care of.

Anyway, I know that I said I wanted to talk about Free! but I'm tired from all the cleaning.  Hopefully I'll talk about it tomorrow.

See you then!
(I did wear a shirt with Makoto on it all day though...)

Last Day of Soft Desserts

So... sorry about yesterday, but I already said that I probably won'e be able to post everyday...

Anyway, as the title suggest, today was the last day of my Ice Cream, Custards, and Soft Dessert class.  We were busy finishing up our final projects - Charlottes. A Charlotte is a dessert usually consisting of a Bavarian cream surrounded by ladyfingers; I made a Charlotte Royale though, which are a little different. I took a picture of it, but I can't transfer pictures onto the computer I'm currently on so I'll be sure to put that up (and many other pictures) when my laptop is doing better.

Well... not much else... I think I'll be talking about Free! tomorrow... seeing as I'm still recovering from what it did to my hear, but that's tomorrow.

Have a good night everyone!

I'm Not Dead Yet

Hey everyone, I know it's been a while, but I'm here.  I don't really have much to say today (especially because I'm on a super tiny annoying computer that I keep accidentally pressing the wrong key in because the keyboard is so small...), but I wanted to let everyone know that I am still alive and that I plan on starting up blogging once again (I know we've all heard that before, but I mean it this time). I even made blogging a daily... wait I did that before too didn't I... Oh, well... I;m going to keep blogging; I promise.  I will say here and now that I don't guarantee that I will post every day, but I will definitely post more often than I do (not that that's hard...)

Well, let's see if anything interesting has happened lately... Just a lot of school... I'm currently taking Ice Cream, Custards, and Soft Desserts; it's super fun.  I made this really delicious pistachio ice cream last week; I was so proud of it, the texture was really nice.  This week we are making Charlottes which are deserts combining cake and gelatinous custard.  So, that's cool.  I'll try to get batter at taking pictures during class so that I can post them, but anyway... Yeah.

I think I've said all I really want/need to say today so yeah... I will be on more often. I hope to talk to all of you later.

Bye
(Yeah, I know no one actually reads this, but I can pretend right...?)

No Idea What To Write About, But Writing Anyway

Yep, no idea...

What did I do today...?

I went to work and then I started writing a little one-shot fan fiction about Free! Iwatobi Swim Club in the form of a fairy tale... Still working on that; it's going to be cute.  At least I think it is.  Then I took a nap...  Yep, my life is pretty thrilling, ain't it?

I've been writing a good deal of fan fiction recently and I'm almost tempted to start maybe posting one a day...  But I'm still debating on that...

Anime plans for this coming week are to catch up with Haikyu and then...  I'm not sure...  I do this online tarot reading exchange thing with my friend on another website and the question I asked this time was actually which anime I should watch next so... I'll see what that has to say.

This is a list of the anime that I'm in the middle of (I'm hoping the tarot reading will chose from one of these):
* Murarihyon no Mago
* Margical Prince
* Bakuman
* Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic
* Revolutionary Girl Utena
* La Storia della Arcana Famiglia
* La Corda d'Oro
* Silver Spoon
* Kamigami no Asobi
* Tonari no Seki-kun
* Fairy Tail
* Folktales from Japan

I'm also in the middle of Free, Haikyu, and Love Stage, but those are also all ongoing and (except for Haikyu which I plan on catching up to shortly) I've caught up to where they are.

Anyway, that's all I got...
Bye for now.

Hopefully I'll be posting tonight...

Finished Again, Now Let's See If I Can Keep Going

Hello there everyone!  Today is my last post of my week-long goal of writing blog posts.  Yay!  I still plan on continuing to write a blog post everyday, since it's one of my dailies on HabitRPG, but my week-long goal is complete.

So, today I mostly worked on fan fiction.  I finally typed up the fan fiction that I had written the other day, finishing one of them because it was incomplete at first and then I found an unfinished Blue Exorcist fan fiction and decided to wrap that one up too.  I also read some too.  I'm trying to finish The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya light novels and so I worked on reading some of The Indignation of Haruhi Suzumiya, which is the 8th book in the series.  I also worked a little bit on character sheets for my own original characters.

Not much else happened today...  I'll probably post one of the new little one-shots that I've written recently tomorrow.

So, yeah, I'm going to go watch some anime now... Probably Haikyu...
See you all tomorrow.
7 down, 0 to go.

See you all tonight.

Kuroko's Basketball

More work, more napping.  Yeah, I'm exciting.

Well, the time of anime has come upon us.

Let's talk about an anime that I've watched recently.  So, Kuroko's Basketball it is, since I did just finish it last night.

Kuroko's Basketball was the first sports anime that I ever watched; I've since watched two more (Free! Iwatobi Swim Club - if that even counts - and Haikyu, an anime about volleyball).  It's obviously about basketball and the main character's name is Kuroko...  Yep, creative name.  I really like this series mainly because it's all so ship-able.  Yep, yaoi.  I basically ship everyone with Kuroko... because I can...  My top two favorite pairings are Aomine/Kuroko and - even though this one doesn't have Kuroko in it - Teppie/Hyuga because it's wonderful.  Aomine happens to be one of my favorite characters despite the fact that most of the time he's a jerk, and until recently I would have even said that he was my favorite character, but Teppie makes my heart happy because he's so sweet and gah...  I love Teppie!

Anyway, there you go.

I don't know how much I'll talk about my tarot readings anymore... I just never know what to say about them.

Alright.
Talk to ya later.
6 down, 1 to go.
Yay!

Tarot Reading 7/16/2014

What I should do today - XII-The Hanged Man
* I need to let things go.  I need to meditate and give up control for today.
What I shouldn't do today - VI-The Lovers
* Love probably isn't a great venture today.
Unexpected - Queen of Coins
* I associate this card with my mom so it may be talking about her...
Theme for today - Ace of Cups
* Today is going to be emotional maybe... Talks about love, but not just romantic, family and friendship too.
Advice for today - 6 of Cups
* Wow, I've been drawing this card all over the place.  Don't dwell on the past, maybe I need to learn from my past...

Until tonight.

The Post Of Not Nearly As Many Words - Anime Expo 2014 Part 2

So, today there was work and at work I finally did use some of the creative energy that the universe has been sending my way by writing a few one shots during our slow times.  I wrote two for Attack on Titan and two for Free! Iwatobi Swim Club.  After work I went home and took a nap, which I apparently do often...  I didn't really do anything else...

Alright, so, who's ready for another spiel about Anime Expo?  No one, well, oh well.

Day 2... What did we do on Day 2...?  Oh yes, we cosplayed as characters from Fire Emblem: Awakening; I went as Emmeryn, Skye went as Lissa, and Sean went as Chrom.  My mom was really excited about making Falchion.  We didn't do that much that day because it was Sean's first time doing a really elaborate cosplay and he got tired and grumpy really easily.  There wasn't much that I wanted to do that day anyway so it was really fine.  We spent most of the day walking around the exhibit hall just looking around.

Day 3 I went to the con by myself that morning.  We were doing the Fire Emblem: Awakening costumes again so I was still dressed as Emmeryn.  I went to Bang Zoom's, Inside the Voice Actor Studio, panel, which I always think is fun.  The special, voice actor, guest was Matthew Mercer, who is the voice of Levi from Attack on Titan and Chrom from Fire Emblem: Awakening - which I thought was funny because I didn't know he was even going to be there and I was cosplaying from one of the video games that he voiced in.  After that I met up with my family and we walked around the exhibit hall again - this time I actually bought stuff.  After that we went and got some dinner and then went to Masquerade.  It was fun and they had these two awesome dance crews preform during the half time show.  One of them was the Survey Corps Dance Crew and it was amazing.

I'm pretty sure I've already talked about Day 4 so I'm going to leave it at that for today.

I don't have anything to say about my tarot reading...  I was tempted to take a nap... and I gave into the temptation...

Well, yeah.
5 down, 2 to go.

Tarot Reading 7/15/2014

What I should do today - 8 of Swords
* I need to change my perception, look at things from a different angle.
What I shouldn't do today - 4 of Batons
* Another once that seems to mean I don't want to get cocky and full of myself.  Again, I haven't reached what I want yet.
Unexpected - XV-The Devil
* I might be tempted by something today.
Theme for today - 9 of Batons
* Today is about rest and recharging.
Advice for today - 6 of Cups
* Maybe don't allow myself to dwell on the past... or maybe I need to learn from my past...

Bye bye.

Heyo

Well, once again I didn't really abide by my taort reading.  Sigh, I keep having things tell me to be creative, but I just can't seem to find any motivation.  I did do a little of knitting so I guess that counts maybe a little,  And since it came up  in the reading I though it might be good to mention that my mom's surgery went fine so I think what my reading this morning was maybe telling me that I was just going to have to take care of her today because I hadn't really been thinking about that.  So, other than work I didn't really do much today.  I did start a new anime - I have this huge list of anime that I'm in the middle of and that I've been wanting to finish before I start anything new, but I've been waiting for this series so I let it go.  The anime just started on Crunchyroll and only the first episode is out so far so it's not like it took very long.  The anime is Love Stage, a new yaoi that I've been waiting for.  I also watched a few episodes of Kuroko's Basketball - that one of the ones that on my list of things to finish, I only have a few episodes left and I was going to try and finish it tonight, but my internet was having arguments with the streaming and so I had to abandon my pursuits.

As for today being my Baking Day... Yeah, that didn't happen; I had work this morning and when I got home I took a nap before watching anime...  I said there was a chance that wasn't going to actually happen.  You'll definitely see baking though on here because I have a bunch of interesting classes coming up this semester.

As for finishing talking about Anime Expo I do think that I am going to out that off again until tomorrow.  I'm just really tires and I still have a bunch of stuff to talk about for the last three day so, yeah... I'm going to be lazy...

Anyway...
At least I posted...
Right?
4 down, 3 to go.

Tarot Reading 7/14/2014

What I should do today - Page of Batons
* I need to use my creativity and intellect today.  Recently almost all of my readings have had to do with being creative... interesting... I guess I really need to do something with these energies.
What I shouldn't do today - 6 of Batons
* Don't get fool of myself or "count my chickens before they hatch;" I haven't achieved victory yet.
Unexpected - III-The Empress
* Usually talks about a mother figure or in this case it could be talking about my mom... She is getting surgery today...  I hope everything is okay in that department.  Keep an ear out and my phone on.
Theme for today - 4 of Cups
* New friendships and relationships.  Cool
Advice for today - II-The High Priestess
* I don't really know how to read this card as advice...

There we go.

The Post of Many Words - Anime Expo 2014 Part 1

Hey there imaginary people!
Today was pretty uneventful, I had work and then I spent most of the rest of my day playing Tomodachi Life on my 3DS.  I made some pretty good pasta for dinner; just noddles a bag of frozen veggies, and some bechamel sauce sauce that I made.

Anyway, today us Sunday, meaning it's Talk-About-Myself Day.  So, today I will talk about one of my favorite things:  Anime Expo.

So, the 3rd through the 6th of July this year was Anime Expo 2014 and - like every year - I went with my family - although this is the first year that my mom actually came to the con with us and didn't just relax/hide in the hotel room.

We actually headed down to LA early the morning of June 30th and we arrived in Anaheim at about 11 or so, where my little sister and I spent the day at California Adventures.  She had to lead me around everywhere because sh'e been fifty-thousand times and the last time I went was for my 16th birthday.  Skye and I had a really great time, we went on a few rides and just walked around a lot.  Around 5 or so our mom and Sean joined as and we saw the Aladdin show they have there - I've seen it a bunch, but I love it - and then to eat dinner before we all went back to the hotel together.

On the 1st Skye and I went to Disney Land and Sean came with us this time.  We went on more rides and the kids - I hate roller coasters so I found a bench near the exit and waited for them - went on Thunder Mountain.  Mom wasn't able to join us for dinner that night because she was busy at the hotel getting last minute things done for Anime Expo, so the three of us ate at a little Pinocchio themed restaurant before calling mom and having her pick us up.

Wednesday was Day 0 of the convention which is basically just a chance for people who have pre-registered for the con to get there tickets if they want without having to stand in line on Day 1 and miss parts of the con.  So, I woke up at 5 that day, got dressed in my cosplay - I went as a female version of Rin Okumura from Blue Exorcist - and then at about 6:30 my mom drove me over to the convention center.  I arrived a little before 7:30 to get in line.  Things were weird though because apparently people had tried to spend the night at the convention center - you known, camping out before the big event, but they weren't allowing that this year and so instead the people who got there the night before decided to line up on the other side of the street.  It was a little confusing when I first got there, but only about ten minutes after I arrived they moved the line back to were it usually was.  I then got to sit in line for 7 hours because the line didn't start moving until 3 - this was planned, I knew what I was getting myself into.  It wasn't too bad though because I made some friends in line while we all waited.  At 3 my mom, Sean, and Skye joined me in the line because they needed to be there to register for their badges too, I was just saving our spot.  Unfortunately there were some technical difficulties so the line didn't actually start moving until about 4-4:30.  After that though it went pretty fast.

Day 1 I arrived at the con at a little after 9.  I was cosplaying as a female version of Seto Kaiba from Yugioh, Skye was a female Mokubah Kaiba, and Sean went as Steve from Minecraft.  The first thing that we did when we got to the convention was go to peacebonding because this was the first time we had brought a prop weapon to the con - it was a "diamond sword" for Sean's Steve costume.  We then just walked around and looked at all the epic cosplay.  At none our mom joined us and we went to a funny little panel called "Don't Panic: A Parent's Guide to AX."  It was just a silly little thing that I said my mom needed to go to and we were glad we did because it wasn't a very popular panel and so we won one of the prizes when they did a raffle at the end - I chose Spirited Away.  After that my mom went off to a few cosplay panels while Sean, Skye, and I went to the "Abridged Series Panel."  We got to see the newest episode of Yugioh the Abridged and 50% Off - which is a Free! Iwatobi Swim Club abridged series.  That was really fun.  Then we met up with my mom who was watching Blue Exorcist in one of the screening rooms (her first anime, I'm so proud) and discussed further plans.  Around 8 they all went back to the hotel and I met up with a friend of mine to go see the AMV competition.  It was really good, there were some fun ones.  Fortunately my mom was kind enough to come back and pick me up when it ended at midnight...

Well...  Seeing as I've already typed a lot and I still have three more days to talk about I think I'm going to leave it there for the night and talk about the rest of the con tomorrow.  Sound good?  Well, too bad.

So... on to talking about my tarot reading...
Alright, I didn't really head it at all!  Yay! ...  I was supposed to be productive and all I was laze about playing video games... Cool...  Well, I guess that all I have to say to that...

Well, I'll see you all tomorrow.
Or not because I can't actually see you...
3 down, 4 to go.

Let's Talk About The Week

Hello everyone!  Second day in a row, at least I haven't just dropped off after only one post again...

I said yesterday that I want to talk a little about my day every time I post and I do, but since today is also the day that I was planning on doing my weekly-run-down-type thing, I'll just go ahead and talk about my day when I get to Saturday.

So, onto my week.

Sunday, July 6th
Barnaby and Kotetsu - Tiger & Bunny
Tharja - Fire Emblem: Awakening
Some cosplayers from AX
Blue Rose - Tiger & Bunny

On Sunday I was actually in LA; my family and I were there for Anime Expo 2014.  It was the last day of the con and it was actually the first time that I'd ever been to a convention (I've been to six over five years) and not been in cosplay (I'm a huge cosplayer - and by huge I don't mean that I'm really good and well known or anything, I just mean that I'm really into it).  I got to see the first two episodes of the second season of Free! Iwatobi Swim Club.  That was pretty exciting too because we actually got to see the second episode before it premiered in Japan.  I also went to the first ever classical concert at Anime Expo, rePLAY: Symphony of Hero's.  That was really amazing; so beautiful.  It was a 70 piece orchestra plus 20 voice choir preforming song from video games such as: Portal, Halo, World of Warcraft, and many others.  It was really great.

Monday, July 7th
Our Car...

Monday I got to spend most of the day in our car.  We had started driving back home from the convention (usually a six hour drive), but we knew that traffic was going to be awful (if we had decided to just drive straight home it was going to take 10 hours - we did that last year), so instead we just drove into Bakersfield and stayed in a motel there for the night before leaving again on Monday morning.  So, yeah, Monday was pretty boring.  Once we did get home I just took a nap.

Tuesday, July 8th
Not much happened Tuesday either; since we'd just spent a week in LA, and I hadn't gotten much sleep  during this time, I was pretty tired and so I decided to sleep and laze about the house most of this day too.

Wednesday, July 9th

My friends birthday was on Wednesday and so (because I was going to see her the net day) I spent the day making cookies to give to her and my other friend who's birthday was on the 7th.  I wasn't quite sure which kinds of cookies they liked so I just made four different kinds.  I made strawberry shortcake cookies, sand dollar cookies, raspberry sandwich cookies, and banana, chocolate chip biscotti.  It took all day, but it was fun.  I love baking!

Thursday, July 10th
Attack on Titan Cosplay Cape I bought at AX
This is just what I decided to take a picture of that day
Thursday was my first day back to work after being gone for nearly two weeks.  It was a short day though, so it wasn't bad.  After work I went and hung out with friends since we were celebrating two birthdays.  We went to too different restaurants for drinks (we all only had two drinks each though, one at each place).  Then the birthday girl decided she was tired so we dropped her off at home and then I went over to Jessica's and we played Rock Band, because we're cool like that.

Friday. July 11th

My Manga Tarot Deck
The cards a pulled for my reading that day
I stated this blog up again!  I also started back up on HabitRPG - I had logged off for a little while for Anime Expo.  I had work, I wrote some fan fiction, I lazed about, not much interesting happened.

My foot is there for scale

Do any of you (not that there are any of you) remember that blanket that I was making last year, well, one of the tarot readings that I did for today said that I should work on a project that I had been putting off so I pulled it out and finished it this morning.  I also went into the city (San Francisco) with my family to look at fabric stores, we also stopped and had dinner at a Chinese place and I tried frog for the first time...  Today is also a "super" moon.

That's my week in a nutshell.

Tarot reading 7/12/2014
1) What should I do today - II-The High Priestess
* The High Priestess talks about undeveloped talents and creative ability so I should use those/work on those today.
2) What I shouldn't do today - XII-The Hanged Man
* I need to not allow myself to get stuck - I need to keep moving forward, no time to stand still today.
3) Unexpected - V-The Heirophant
* Religion or education... I may work on my own religion today (I've been studying witchcraft - don't consider myself one yet, but I'm working towards it) or maybe I'll run into someone who is religious.  Could be talking about education instead though, maybe something about the upcoming school semester will come up.
4) Theme of the day - 5 of Cups
* I may feel down today and there's a chance I might lose something.
5) Advice - King of Coins
* I need to be practical and I might want to start something new today.

So, I did do something creative, again my tarot reading is actually why a dragged out and finished that blanket, so that was fun.  I tried not to allow myself to sit and do nothing today so that's good to.  I haven't dealt with anything that has to do with religion or education though... so I'm not sure what that was talking about... Fortunately I didn't/haven't lost anything, but I did start feeling a little down once we got home from the city because things didn't quite go as planned there, but it wasn't too bad.  Unfortunately I didn't quite head the advice of being practical or starting something new today...

I think that starting tomorrow I may post my tarot readings in the morning and then make my "official" post - the one about my day and the topic of the day - at night and then talk about how the reading related to my day in that.  I think that might make more sense...

Alright, well, there you go.

I plan on talking about Anime Expo more in depth eventually, but I'm pretty sure this post is already long enough... Maybe I'll talking about it tomorrow... Yeah... I can make that count as talking about myself... or maybe I'll just wait until Tuesday...

2 down, 5 to go.
Let's keep this going Cali.

Hopefully This Is For Real This Time

Hello again everyone!

Yep, still alive.  I want to give this yet another go.  I'm making it my goal to write one blog post a day for a week once again.  This will hopefully help me get back into blogging regularly.

So, let's talk about how things are going to go this time around.

I already have a little weekly schedule that I want to follow and it goes a little something like this:
Sunday - Talk-About-Myself Day
* On Sunday's I will share something about myself; a story from my childhood, my favorite something, or maybe I'll talk about my family.
Monday - Baking Day
* I will bake on this day (as long as work isn't too crazy that day) and then post pictures and talk about what I made.
Tuesday - I-Don't-Have-Anything-Specific-To-Talk-About-Planned Day
* No specific topic for Tuesday's I'll just talk about what I'm in the mood to talk about that day.
Wednesday - Fan-Fiction Day
* I'll post and talk about one of my many works of fan fiction
Thursday - Original-Works Day
* I'll post something about one of my original stories, maybe a small piece of one of them, maybe a character bio, or maybe a synopsis.
Friday - Anime Day
* This is trying to be an anime blog after all.
Saturday - Weekly-Wrap-Up Day
* Much like last time I hope to give a quick overview of the week using pictures I've taken in that time.

Those are the plans - at least until the school semester starts then we'll see what happens...

There are also certain things I want to write about each day.  I'll try to start off each post with a little about my day and how things are going, then I'll talk about the topic of the day.  Last I'll be posting my daily tarot reading and how it related to my day.  Yeah.

So, yeah, those are the plans...

And according to these plans today is anime day!
Yay!  I want to try and talk about an anime that I watched recently and so I shall do that.  The anime that I have watched most recently is Puella Magi Madoka Magica.  I've been meaning to watch this series for a while and just hadn't gotten around to it, but going to Anime Expo - which I went to last week - always gets me really pumped for watching more anime so I was finally able to do it.  I started it Tuesday morning and finished it by that night.  It was pretty good, I thought it was interesting, but I'm not sure how I feel about the witches; I know they were going for them being surreal and all, but I don't really like the art choices they made for them.  For those who don't know anything about Puella Magi Madoka Magica it is a magical girl anime, but it has a few dark twists to it, also part of the reason I was interested in watching it.  Overall I thought it was interesting, but the main reason I watched it was because it's such a pop-culture thing when it comes to anime; "everyone's" watched it and all so I thought I'd give it a go.  Not bad, strange, but not bad.

Now onto more planned things.

Here's my tarot reading for today:
(I used my Manga Tarot deck)
Theme for the day - Page of Swords
* I could interact with a Page of Swords today - someone who is clever, quick-witted, and critical - or today could be a day full of energy and starting new ventures.

Advice for the day - 3 of Cups
* This card talks about celebrating, having fun, and spending time with friends, family, and loved ones.  So... I should do that today.

Well, I do think that retrying this can definitely qualify as starting a new venture so that was right; I haven't really headed the advice yet though...  How should I celebrate...?  What should I celebrate...?

Anyway, there you have it, so, let's see if I can get back in a good rhythm again.

Ready for the countdown again.
I bet you all missed these.
1 down, 6 to go.
I bet no one even cares that I'm back...

New Year = New Beginnnings

Alright, well, my posting regularly - or at all - seemed to have died for a good while, but I'm back and alive and willing to give this another shot.  I don't know if my posting topics are going to be as organized this time, but at least I'll be posting.

So, happy 2014 everybody!  As usual I've made a few New Year's Resolutions, but let's see if I'll actually get any of them done.  My friend did suggest this awesome site to me though; it's called habitrpg.com.  Basically you take your resolutions and habits you want to start/break and put them on there and as you complete them you gain experience and gold.  You can use the gold to buy rewards for completing tasks and you find pets long the way.  I started mine and I've got 72 exp points and 11 gold, 92 silver so far.

Well...  Some things I hope to do this year are:
Write more
Read more
Thoroughly clean my house
Finish one of my books
And there's other stuff, but there's some basics.

Okay, so I don't have much else to say today, but I'm going to try to go back to posting every day again (it's one of the things that if I do it I get exp points and gold; I'm trying to earn an episode of Magi).

Anyway, I will see you all tomorrow.  I hope everyone had a great Christmas or holiday of your choosing.

Happy New Year Everyone!
